About this category

Cross-chain bridge and messaging protocols — LayerZero, Circle CCTP, Wormhole, Axelar, Across, deBridge, Rhino, and others. Contract addresses identified across chains covering both GMP messaging protocols and pure bridge transfers.

Coverage metric

Attributed bridge volume: transfers where either the sender or recipient is a labeled bridge address, across a deduped union of the messaging_protocols_outbound_messages and bridges_outbound_transfers tables (30-day window).

Why this metric

Deduplication is critical: GMP-routed protocols (LayerZero, Wormhole, CCTP) appear in both tables. The methodology uses the messaging table for GMP protocols and the outbound table filtered to messaging_protocol IS NULL for pure bridges — ensuring no double-counting. The attributed share reflects bridge volume that touches a labeled contract on at least one side.
